The Sunriver Boutique Hotel Hue

Shower leaks over the floor, flooding the bathroom!!! AC unit sounds like an old car!!! Expecting a bar or restaurant advertised? Don't hold your breath!!!

This hotel should be taken off your list. There is a discotheque on the ground floor with pounding vibration until midnight even on the eighth floor. The hotel was virtually shut down, lights dimmed and no buffet breakfast. It is old fashioned and depressing. We left after one night.

Nothing good can be said about this stay. This hotel should not even be listed in the Booked.net. If you think the price is cheap and you have no expectation but a bed to sleep on, you can go for it. But there is much cheaper hotels around this one, you can do better, I am sure.

Hotel staff didn't speak English when we check in late at night. He didn't know how to read the Booked.net paper we gave to him about our room and reservation. He pulled a piles of room keys and just chose one room for the bell boy to take us. After our complaint of no hot water to shower and dirty bath tub and shower cap/toilet, the bell boy who seemed to understand a little bit English talked to the guy at the front desk and transferred us to another room, who was more likely to be the one we saw on the Booked.net picture. However the room was equipped as stated in the Booked.net site. It was a very disappointing experience for us to believe that Booked.net even lists this hotel as a three star. It is one star in my opinion.

The room was spacious but smelled musty, and I had a noisy neighbor at night.

Sincerely, it was a really good stay in our upcoming visit. The location was nice and perfect, at a moderate distance from Truong Tien Bridge. There were shopping centres and a night market around the hotel.

The staff was not very helpful.

Recommend it for those who can handle some steps

The porters were really helpful, sprinting up and down carrying luggage and all, cannot complain about that! Plus, the large room was kinda decorated and clean. Had some wonderful quiet time there, just taking in the vibe.

It wasn't exactly cheap, but you get what you expect.

Great rooftop pool and comfortable beds

I really enjoyed my stay with the fantastic rooftop pool that offered a nice view and helped me unwind, especially in the summer heat. The location was perfect for exploring the city, with plenty of restaurants nearby and just a short walk to the citadel. The room was spacious and comfortable, but it could use some updates to the maintenance. If they put a bit more effort into the upkeep, it would be a much better experience.

I had a lovely time at this place, especially enjoying the delicious breakfast including Hue cakes and the rooftop pool, though the air conditioning could use an upgrade.
